This post actually opens the body shape series, starting with the rectangular one. If you're unsure about yours, I suggest you to read here and then return to the article which interests you the most according to your physique. Well, are you ready? :D

INTRODUCTION

The rectangular kind of body is distinguished by delicate shapes and especially by the slightly accentuated waistline, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage: in the first case, the woman with this type of build can wear almost everything with a few small hacks to enhance the right points. She will never be gross if she wants to hazard a shorter skirt or a more audacious neckline; on the other hand, many people who fall into this category, are demoralized by the lack of curves in their body, but this can be remedied!

Making a general overview, we can say one thing: the main purpose we have to achieve is to create movement because it's what is missing in the rectangular body shape. Of course, it's also important to form the waistline. Greenlight, then, to games of colour, asymmetrical clothes and, above all, stratification, which not all types of shape can bear!

ASYMMETRIC DRESS

What's better than an asymmetrical dress to create movement? Be careful, however, to the too tight ones!

EMPIRE STYLE DRESS

It's true, the empire style dress doesn't enhance the waistline, but it hides it, which it's fine too! Be careful only to choose the right size, otherwise the décolleté will be loose-fitting.

HOURGLASS DRESS

The hourglass dress is the one for you if you don't want to hide the waistline but enhance it.

PENCIL DRESS

 The pencil dress, among the straight clothes which fit well the rectangular shape, is the best choice! It gently accompanies the body forms, making the figure harmonious.

A-LINE DRESS

The A-line dress, among straight-falling clothes, also suits well the rectangular body shape. Pay attention to the fabric: it has to be rather soft.

BALLOON DRESS

To close the dress section, let's end with the balloon ones!

TOPS

Talking about tops, it's practically allowed everything which creates movement. The coloured ones, both soft and gaudy, are fine - just pay attention to dark shades: they tend to streamline - as for applications or flounces; shortly, all you like is perfect! Two things to remember: absolutely not to oversized clothing and too stiff fabrics! They would tend to diminish the figure.

SKIRT

 Our sole purpose when we create an outfit suitable for a woman with a rectangular body shape is to create volumes. Even regarding the skirt, the principle is the same: the A-line, balloon, sheath ones and, of course, all those enriched with flounces, folds and so on, are good. The only point to care about is to not create too much disproportion with the upper part of the body.

PANTS

The rectangular shape is perfect with practically all kind of pants if you choose the right size! The type which is probably better to avoid is the tight, dark one: it makes the leg even more slender. Just a note: shorts suit this kind of body divinely!

OVERCOAT

The best coats are definitely the waisted types, like a trench or three-quarter ones, but also cloaks and short jackets are ok.

Con questo post si apre la serie sulle body shape in maniera effettiva, e si inizia con il fisico a rettangolo. Se sei insicura su quale sia la tua forma corporea, ti consiglio di leggere qui e poi ritornare a quello che più ti interessa in base alla tua corporatura. Bene! Siamo pronti allora? :D

PREMESSA

Il fisico a rettangolo è contraddistinto dalle forme minute e soprattutto dal punto vita poco accentuato, il che è sia un vantaggio che uno svantaggio: nel primo caso, la donna con questo tipo di body shape può indossare praticamente tutto (o quasi) con un minimo di accortezza di modo da valorizzare i punti giusti, ma in ogni caso non risulterà mai volgare se vorrà azzardare una gonna più corta o una scollatura più audace; nel secondo caso, molte persone che rientrano in questa categoria, sono demoralizzate dalla mancanza di curve del proprio fisico, ma comunque a questo si può rimediare!

Facendo prima una panoramica generale, possiamo dire che la cosa principale per creare un outfit adatto al fisico a rettangolo è quello di creare movimento, per far apparire le forme più piene nei punti giusti. Sicuramente è importante anche formare il punto vita, essendone sprovvisto. Perciò via libera a giochi di colore, abiti asimmetrici e, soprattutto, alla stratificazione, cosa che non tutte le tipologie di fisico possono permettersi!

ABITO ASIMMETRICO

Quale scelta migliore per creare movimento dell'abito asimmetrico? Stai attenta però ai modelli troppo aderenti!

Lo stile impero. E' vero, l'abito stile impero non valorizza il punto vita, tuttavia un abito che segna il punto focale dell'outfit sotto il seno, lo nasconde, il che comunque va benissimo! Attenzione solo a scegliere la taglia giusta, altrimenti il décolleté risulterà povero, ricorda che è l'abbigliamento che deve adattarsi a te, non il contrario.

ABITO CLESSIDRA

L'abito a clessidra è quello che fa per te se non vuoi nascondere il punto vita, bensì valorizzarlo.

PENCIL DRESS

L'abito a matita, tra gli abiti dritti che stanno bene al fisico a rettangolo, è la migliore scelta! Accompagna morbidamente le forme del corpo rendendo la figura armoniosa.

ABITO A-LINE

Tra gli abiti che cascano dritti, anche l'abito dalla linea ad A dona alla donna con il fisico a rettangolo, l'importante è che sia in tessuti piuttosto morbidi.

Per quanto riguarda i top, è praticamente concesso tutto (o quasi) ciò che crea movimento. Vanno benissimo anche i capi colorati, sia tenui che sgargianti - facendo solo attenzione ai toni troppo scuri che tendono a snellire - applicazioni, balze, insomma, quel che vi piace! Le uniche due cose da ricordare: assolutamente no ai capi oversize e ai tessuti troppo rigidi! Tenderebbero a sminuire la figura. Puoi anche tranquillamente indossare i crop top, che sono sempre più di tendenza!

GONNA

Il nostro unico scopo quando scegliamo un outfit adatto alla donna con il fisico a rettangolo è quello di creare volumi. Anche con la gonna il principio è uguale: sono perfette quelle ad A, a palloncino, a tubino, e ovviamente tutte quelle arricchite con balze, pieghe e compagnia. Unico punto a cui stare attente e a non creare troppa sproporzione rispetto alla parte superiore cel corpo.

SOPRABITO

I soprabiti migliori per una donna dalla forma a rettangolo sono sicuramente quelli avvitati, come i trench o i cappotti a tre quarti, ma anche mantelle e giubbotti corti sono ok.

Two Pieces Dress

I have often been asked how to change look without altering the whole outfit, even with a not really equipped wardrobe. Usually the answer is to mix accessories up, such as shoes and bags. However, I know many girls who have only one pair of sneakers, one of ankle boots and one of pumps for more formal occasions. This isn't a bad thing, but we have to find another way to solve the question!

You can see, in the first pic of this post, my basic outfit: a two-pieces dress and shoes, with few accessories - by the way, you'll find the links under the images :) Let's see together a couple of variants of it!

Sincerely, I challenge anyone (even those who have a poorer wardrobe) to owe only one cardigan or one single blazer! We all have at least a pair of them or one per type: this is the kind of item we have to focus on!

ELEGANT LOOK

We can add a jacket to our outfit to complete it, to make it more elegant and suitable for both work and a special evening! I've chosen a short one made in boiled wool, but a long, waisted piece like a blazer is also fine.

CASUAL LOOK

Suppose we want to make everything more casual, for a walk with friends perhaps: the cardigan is the item which best fits the purpose! If you're wearing a dress with rather neutral colours - like in these pics in which black and white dominate - you can choose something colorful to liven the outfit up; vice-versa, go with basic tones in case you're using clothing in bright shades.

Find the stuff you like the best and have fun combining it as you prefer! There are so many kind of cardigans: buttoned, with drawstrings, closed by laces, or even open if you don't want to emphasize the waistline.

Quello che vedi nelle prime due foto di questo post, è il mio outfit base, quindi abito due pezzi e scarpe, con solamente qualche accessorio - a proposito, trovi i link sotto le immagini :) Vediamo insieme due varianti!

Sinceramente sfido chiunque (anche chi ha un guararoba più scarno) a possedere un solo cardigan o un solo blazer! Tutte ne abbiamo almeno un paio oppure uno per tipo; è su questo che bisogna concentrarsi!

LOOK ELEGANTE

La giacca è uno degli elementi che possiamo aggiungere al nostro look per completarlo, per renderlo più elegante e adatto sia al lavoro che a una serata particolare! Ho scelto un modello corto, in lana cotta, ma va benissimo anche un capo più lungo e avvitato, come un blazer.

LOOK CASUAL

 Al contrario, supponendo che volessimo rendere il tutto più casual, per una passeggiata con le amiche per esempio, il cardigan è l'elemento che più si adatta allo scopo! Se indossi un abito con colori piuttosto neutri, come nelle foto in cui dominano il bianco e il nero, puoi scegliere qualcosa di colorato per ravvivare l'outfit; viceversa, tieniti su toni basici nel caso in cui hai un abbigliamento in tonalità vive. 

Trova il modello che più ti piace e divertiti ad abbinarlo al tuo look come preferisci! Ce ne sono davvero tanti: abbottonati, chiusi da lacci, o anche aperti se non vuoi sottolineare il punto vita.
